Collection of Information

The information we obtain from visitors helps us personalize and continually improve the user experience at ComedyDuck.com.  Our overall policy is simple: If we collect information from you, we use it only for the purposes for which it was collected, and other limited purposes as outlined below.

Personal Information

We collect personally identifiable information, such as visitor names, addresses, email addresses, etc., when voluntarily submitted by visitors, and the information provided is used to fulfill a specific purpose.  This information is only used to fulfill the specific purpose, unless you give us permission to use it in another manner (for example, add you to a mailing list).

Non-Personally Identifiable Information

When you visit the site, some non-personally identifiable information is collected automatically.  This information might include your IP address, the type of browser or operating system you use, and the domain name from which you linked to our site.  We use this non-personally identifiable information to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer the web site.  We may also share this information with our affiliates, or with our other business partners on an aggregate basis.

Cookies

This site may use cookies and tracking technology.  In the course of ads being served on this website, third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your browser, or using web beacons to collect information. These technologies are useful for customizing the user experience and for understanding how visitors use the site.  Such technology is used to track the number of visitors, and for gathering information such as user actions, browser type and operating system.  Personal information cannot be collected via cookies and tracking technology.  However, if you provide personally identifiable information, cookies may be tied to such information.  Aggregate cookie and tracking information may be shared with third parties.

Specifically, the DoubleClick DART cookie is used by Google as a third party vendor in the ads served on ComedyDuck.com. When users visit ComedyDuck.com and either view or click on an AdSense ad, a cookie may be dropped on that end user’s browser. The data gathered from these cookies are used to help AdSense publishers better serve and manage the ads on their sites and across the web. Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to users based on their visits to ComedyDuck.com and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.
